Which CO2 cylinder fits my machine?

Every sparkling water maker takes one of three types of cylinder. Not sure which is yours? Send us a photo of your machine and we'll tell you.

Screw-in

The classic threaded cylinder. Fits Aarke (all models), SodaStream machines that use the blue screw-in cylinder (for example Spirit, One Touch, Crystal, Jet, Genesis, Source and Power), Philips GoZero, Ninja Thirsti, Sage InFizz, Drinkmate, Smeg and more.

Doesn't fit SodaStream machines that use the pink click-in cylinder, or a Quooker.

Click-in (Quick Connect)

For SodaStream machines that use the pink click-in cylinder: Terra, Duo, Art, Enso, Aqua Fizz, Gaia and Crystal 3.0.

Not compatible with the SodaStream E-Terra.

On some older click-in machines the button needs a firmer press to get started. In the odd case a machine and cylinder just won't work together. If that happens, get in touch and we'll take it back and refund you.

Quooker

Only for the Quooker Cube under-counter tap system. It has a different valve, so it won't fit any other carbonator, and a regular screw-in cylinder won't fit a Quooker, even though they look very similar.

GROHE Blue

Our screw-in cylinders (Gas-Up and Aarke) use the standard TR21-4 thread, the same thread as GROHE Blue Home, Blue Pure and Blue Fizz 425g cylinders, so they will physically screw into those GROHE units. Our click-in and Quooker cylinders are not suitable for GROHE Blue.

Before you order, it's worth knowing:

  • GROHE's own guidance is to use only their original 425g cylinders. The thread is common, but valve pin heights and seat depths can vary between manufacturers, and a third-party cylinder may affect the pressure-reducing valve. Using a non-GROHE cylinder can also void your GROHE warranty, so do check your warranty position first.
  • GROHE Blue Professional takes 2kg cylinders, so none of our cylinders will fit it.

Many of our customers with GROHE Blue use our cylinders successfully, but we can't confirm compatibility on GROHE's behalf. If you're happy to go ahead, you're very welcome to order, and if a cylinder doesn't work with your machine, we'll take it back and refund it. As we've set out the possible issues upfront, this is treated as a change of mind return, so you'd cover the cost of sending it back. We'll accept it even if the seal has been broken, as long as it's still full. Please contact us before sending anything back so we can set up the return.

How long does a cylinder last?

Each cylinder makes between 45 and 60 litres of sparkling water, depending on how fizzy you like it. More pumps of gas for fizzier water means the cylinder runs out sooner. Chilling your water before you carbonate it helps it hold the fizz for longer.

Ordered the wrong one?

Just let us know before it ships and we'll swap it. If it's already arrived, get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Brand note: our screw-in and click-in cylinders come from different brands over time (for example, our click-in cylinder is now Happy Frizz). They're the same spec and compatibility, so you can swap between them freely.
